To Give is to Love
Why do we give?
1. We give because God first gave to us. John 3:16 (ESV) says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Your gift is being used to further His kingdom.

2. Another reason that we give is that the Bible declares in Luke 6:38 (ESV) "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” God will return everything that you invest into His kingdom.

3. The final reason we give is that God commands us to give. Deuteronomy 16:17 (ESV) says "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you".
